1. If you do not already have the Collada exporter plugin, download it from:http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=136478 and install it.

2. With the project open in 3ds Max, click File.

3. Click Export Selected or Export All.

4. An export dialogue box will appear.

5. Choose a location to save the file.

7. Type in a file name.

8. In the Files of type pull down menu, select COLLADA exporter.
 
Note: Do not use the Autodesk exporter (if available) to save as a Collada file. It is not supported by the Octopz 3D engine.

9. Click Save.

The Collada File will be saved on your computer.

10. A ColladaMax Export dialogue box will appear.

11. Make sure that Normals and Triangulate are checked.

12. Click Save.

13. The Collada File will saved on your computer.
