Sending Room Invitations

Hosts and Administrators can issue a Room Invitations to anyone with an email address, whether or not they are an Octopz Registered User. A Single Visit Invitation allows a Guest one-time secure access to the Meeting Room you specify without the need for a User Name or Password and a multi visit invitation allows repeat access to the specified room.

Sending Single ticket invitations from within an Octopz Meeting Room

1. Click the Users tab.

2. Click Room Invitation. to open an Invitation Screen.

3. Click Single Visit Invitation.

4. In the To field, enter the email address of the person you are inviting.

5. The Subject field is automatically populated (add additional information if you wish).

6. Enter a message into the message field if desired.

7. Click Submit. An email is sent to the Guest that includes a link to Octopz and allows the Guest to enter the Meeting Room without the need for a username or password.

Note: A Single Visit Invitation expires after it has been used, or within five days if it is unused.

Sending Limited Multi Visit Invitations from within a Octopz meeting room

1. Click the Users tab.

2. Click Room Invitation. to open an Invitation Screen.

3. Click Multi Visit Invitation.

4. Click Limited Access.

5. Enter a start and end date and time for the invitation.

6. In the To field, enter the email address of the person you are inviting.

7. The Subject field is automatically populated (add additional information if you wish).

8. Enter a message into the message field if desired.

9. Click Submit. An email is sent to the Guest that includes a link to Octopz and allows repeatedly enter the Meeting Room without the need for a username or password for the time period you specified.

Sending Unlimited Multi Visit Invitations from within a Octopz meeting room

1. Click the Users tab.

2. Click Room Invitation. to open an Invitation Screen.

3. Click Multi Visit Invitation.

4. Click Unlimited Access.

5. In the To field, enter the email address of the person you are inviting.

6. The Subject field is automatically populated (add additional information if you wish).

7. Enter a message into the message field if desired.

8. Click Submit. An email is sent to the Guest that includes a link to Octopz and allows the Guest to repeatedly enter the Meeting Room without the need for a username or password for an unlimited time period.
